A Few Different Trane Home Air Conditioners
When you are going to buy one of the Trane home air conditioners you should consider a few things about the unit you need. These air conditioning units mainly differ in the amount of efficiency they each have. Each air conditioner is different from the next depending on your cooling needs.
There are many places to refer to when you want to buy a Trane brand air conditioner such as online or certain stores in your local area. Trane is a well known and trusted brand that produces high quality products. The models that are to be discussed are the XB14, XR15, XL15i, and the XL20i.
Their efficiency levels differ from model to model. The XB14 unit is part of the standard efficiency category. The XR15 belongs to the high efficiency group while the XL15i is a super efficiency unit. The XL20i is of the high grade of efficiency level called ultra.
The XB14, XR15, and the XL15i all use a single operation to complete the two stages of the cooling process. The XL20i is more advanced than the rest because it has a two compressor mechanism to complete the process instead. On the scale of SEER, or cooling efficiency, the XL20i has the most power and is rated at a level twenty. The XL15i rates at sixteen, the XR15 is rated at seventeen and the XB14 is at fourteen.
All air conditioners are going to make some kind of sound. If you pay attention to the typical sound level that is listed you will see some are quieter than others. Out of these models the XL20i and the XL15i are at a seventy four and are the quietest. The XR15 is still quiet but not as silent as the ones before and it is at seventy five. The XB14 unit by far the loudest of these models and is at a seventy nine. Although they are different in sound levels they are all pretty silent when compared to other brands.
They all have a good amount of coverage on them due to their warranties. The XL20i and the XL15i both have twelve years of coverage on the air compressor with the coil and other parts being covered for ten years. The XR15 model has everything covered for ten years on the warranty that comes with it. The XB14 unit warranty covers the compressor for ten years and the other parts, including the coil, are covered for five years.
All models are available to have extended warranties as well. It is highly recommended to opt for the extended warranty option if it is available because the money you spend on the unit does not want to go wasted if a part breaks down after the end of your original warranty.
If you have a large home and you are wondering which of the Trane home air conditioners to get then you should consider getting a model in the ultra efficient category. Medium sized homes can differ depending on the size of the house but most consumers prefer to go with the high efficiency units because they are a bit less costly.
